
BISHOP ALLEN T.D. WIGGINS, D.D. a native of Daytona Beach, FL, currently serves as the Senior Pastor of The Hope Church of Orlando. Bishop Wiggins received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Florida A & M University, Tallahassee, FL, an honorary Doctor of Divinity from St. Thomas Christian College, Jacksonville, FL, and is a graduate of the acclaimed DeVos Urban Leadership Initiative.
Bishop Wiggins is the son of Dr. Russell W. Wiggins and Mother Beulah H. Wiggins, the Founders of Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, currently known as The Hope Church of Orlando. Bishop Wiggins was mentored in ministry while serving under the leadership and covering of his father in the capacity of Deacon, Minister of Music, and Church Administrator. He accepted God's call to preach the gospel in 1989 and was ordained in 1990 by the Orlando Baptist Ministerial Alliance. During Bishop Wiggins’ first year of co-pastorate in 1996, approximately 1,000 souls confessed Christ. In 2001, after five years as Co-Pastor, the mantle of leadership was passed from Dr. R.W. Wiggins to Pastor Allen Wiggins, elevating him to Senior Pastor. In 2007, he was consecrated and ordained to the Office of Bishop by the International Bishop’s Conference.
Bishop Wiggins is a proven entrepreneur. Having established several business ventures under the umbrella of The Hope Church of Orlando he also exhibits his passion for God’s people by his involvement in various housing development projects. He serves in cooperative partnership with organizations in the City of Orlando that strive to make quality, affordable housing a reality for those desiring homeownership. Recognizing his contributions to the Orlando community, Bishop Wiggins received the Leadership Award for Housing and Economic Development from the National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials in 2005.
Bishop Wiggins is a celebrated musician whose professional career spans over 20 years. He is one of the founders of the Meridian Music Group, an independent record label providing national and international exposure for Christian artists. Bishop Wiggins is also world-renowned as the co-founder of the pioneering gospel/jazz duo Allen & Allen, playing saxophone with keyboardist, Dr. Bruce V. Allen. As a national recording artist, he has impacted the music industry by achieving Billboard Chart status through sales in all major markets. Bishop Wiggins has co-produced nine CDs and is the recipient of three Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA) Awards and two Stellar Awards.
Bishop Wiggins and his wife, Lady Deborah Wiggins, share five children: Michael, Brandy, Julian, Allen II, and Jonathan; one son-in-law, Melvin, and one granddaughter, Zaria. All of their children confess Jesus as Lord and Savior and are committed to Kingdom building.
Bishop Wiggins is an anointed Pastor/Teacher/Musician who has served in diverse areas of ministry for over two decades. Operating under the belief that “we are called to make an impact for the Kingdom of God on the lives of our families, our communities, and the world abroad,” he is committed to utilizing every possible venue and opportunity to be a blessing to others while fulfilling the call of God on his life.
