Allen & Allen

Bishop Allen T.D. Wiggins is world-renowned as the co-founder of the pioneering gospel/jazz duo Allen & Allen, playing saxophone with keyboardist, Dr. Bruce V. Allen. Allen & Allen, is a pioneering and genre bending musical duo that has been in the vanguard of stretching musical boundaries since their inception. Skillfully and impeccably blending jazz and gospel musical idioms, they have arrived at a mix that is uniquely their own and that has inspired the descriptive phrase "Inspirational Jazz," which best describes the spiritually-infused syncopated rhythms of their musical styling.

The duo's recording career spans across two decades, beginning with the 1994 release of their award winning self-titled debut album, Allen & Allen. Other projects on Allen & Allen’s discology include Christmas Like Never Before, Come Sunday, the award winning A New Beginning, Love Sweet Love, Impressions, and Unconditional Love. Over the course of their recording career, Allen & Allen have won two (2) Stellar Awards for Best New Artist and Best Inspirational Jazz Duo/Group. The duo has also collaborated with gospel greats such as Albertina Walker and Take Six members Mark & Joey Kibble.

Allen & Allen have demonstrated that special insight they have in writing and arranging from various source materials. Continuing their string of musical successes and the demonstration of the best of their creative talents, their impact and influence on the development of "Inspirational Jazz" is well on display. More importantly, what continues to set Allen & Allen apart in their musical ministry is the effortless ability to appeal to the redeemed and to those who have yet to find their way to the Lord. As always they aspire to inspire as well as entertain. As succinctly stated by the duo, their overarching mission is "to inspire with musical expressions that are broad in appeal but focused in attributes that convey Godly love to all people. Through the medium of music and its various sounds, we seek to capture the ears of music lovers with no regard to race, religious denomination or rhythmic rhetoric."
